The White Ribbon and the Heart of the Night is the eighth book in the Signalverse series and a direct sequel to The White Ribbon Runs the Red Lights, which was the fifth book in the series. It takes place a year later, in late 2018, so chronologically it actually comes before Sneak and the Shadow of Darkplanet (which takes place in 2020).

It's the shortest Signalverse novel so far, running only about 42,000 words, but I didn't set out to write some big, epic story here; I basically just wanted to catch up with Kaden and Izzy, who are two of my favorite Signalverse characters. At some point I'm probably going to write a third book starring these two, in order to turn these White Ribbon titles into their own little trilogy.

Tom did the book design for this one, but the cover art this time is by the very talented Josh Howard, known for Dead@17 and the T-Bird and Throttle series. I think it looks great.
